1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Shira | Strength Coaching website, training platform, application, or services ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), as well as any applicable Coaching Agreement, Safety Acknowledgment, Waiver, Privacy Policy, and other written service terms provided to you.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform or participate in the services.
2. Eligibility & Account Responsibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform or participate in services unless a parent or legal guardian provides written consent and participates in the required intake and agreement process.
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Communicating honestly about your training history, limitations, discomfort, injuries, medical conditions, and changes in your ability to participate safely
3. Description of Services
Shira | Strength Coaching provides fitness-focused, educational strength coaching services.
Services may include:
- Private strength and movement mentorship
- In-person coaching sessions
- Duo coaching sessions
- Exercise education and movement guidance
- Training app access for workout notes, session materials, tracking, and progress history
- Optional alumni support or alumni coaching after completing the mentorship
The Foundation Mentorship is a structured 10-session coaching process designed to help clients learn strength-training fundamentals, understand movement patterns, build confidence with equipment, and develop the skills to train more independently.
Each mentorship session generally focuses on one training topic or movement principle. Sessions may include a short educational explanation followed by guided strength training and hands-on practice.
Ongoing coaching or alumni support may be available only after completing the mentorship and is optional.
Services are fitness coaching and educational in nature. They are not medical care, physical therapy, rehabilitation, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for care from a licensed medical professional.
Details regarding coaching scope, limitations, safety responsibilities, and participation requirements may be further defined in the Coaching Agreement & Safety Acknowledgment, which is incorporated by reference.
4. Payments, Packages & Alumni Plans
Certain services require payment.
Current service options may include:
- Foundation Mentorship packages
- Duo Mentorship packages
- Optional alumni support or coaching plans
- Additional alumni sessions, when available
Mentorship packages include a defined number of sessions. Alumni plans, when offered, may be billed monthly and may include a defined number of scheduled sessions per month.
Payment terms, pricing, included services, cancellation rules, and scheduling expectations are provided on the Mentorship page, in the Coaching Agreement, or in written communication before enrollment.
Unless otherwise stated in writing:
- Payments are due before services begin
- Payments are non-refundable once a package, billing period, or service term has started
- Unused sessions do not automatically roll over unless agreed in writing
- Additional sessions are subject to availability
- Alumni plans are available only to mentorship graduates
- App access may be included only during an active mentorship, alumni plan, or other approved service period
Shira | Strength Coaching reserves the right to update pricing, service structure, or available plans at any time. Changes will not affect services that have already been paid for unless agreed in writing.
5. Scheduling, Cancellations & Availability
Sessions are scheduled based on mutual availability.
The Foundation Mentorship is generally designed to be completed over approximately 5 weeks, with sessions ideally scheduled twice per week when possible. Actual scheduling may vary based on client and coach availability.
If Shira is unavailable for an extended period due to travel, illness, emergency, or scheduling constraints, affected sessions or service periods may be rescheduled, adjusted, paused, or handled according to the applicable Coaching Agreement or written communication.
Client cancellations, missed sessions, late arrivals, and rescheduling requests may be subject to the cancellation policy provided before enrollment.
6. No Medical Advice
The Platform and services do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, physical therapy, or rehabilitation.
You are responsible for consulting a licensed medical professional regarding any health concerns, pain, injury, pregnancy-related considerations, medical limitations, or exercise restrictions before or during participation in fitness activities.
You agree to stop exercising and seek appropriate medical guidance if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, unusual symptoms, or any concern that may require medical attention.
7. Intellectual Property
All content provided through the Platform or services — including programs, text, videos, session materials, exercise notes, educational materials, and training frameworks — is the property of Shira | Strength Coaching and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Content is provided for your personal use only and may not be copied, shared, distributed, published, taught, resold, or used commercially without written permission.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time.
Shira | Strength Coaching reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform or services if:
- These Terms are violated
- Payment is not completed
- Required forms, waivers, or agreements are not completed
- The coaching relationship is no longer a professional fit
- Communication becomes disrespectful, unsafe, inappropriate, or inconsistent with a professional coaching environment
- Continued participation appears unsafe or outside the scope of fitness coaching
Termination does not entitle users to refunds beyond what is stated in the pricing details, Coaching Agreement, or other written service terms.
9. Service Availability
The Platform is provided on an "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may perform maintenance, updates, or changes from time to time.
Temporary platform issues do not automatically entitle users to refunds, credits, or service extensions unless required by law or agreed in writing.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shira | Strength Coaching shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Platform, participation in coaching services, or participation in fitness activities.
Participation in exercise involves inherent risks. You understand and agree that participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Continued use of the Platform or services after changes are posted or provided constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
